Lt. Jeffrey Denny
Welcome to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office District 12 – City of Pahokee website. I am Lieutenant Jeffery Denney, and I am honored to serve the citizens of Pahokee.
A Florida native, I was born in West Palm Beach and developed an interest in law enforcement at an early age. In 2002, I joined the United States Army as a Military Police Soldier. Following my military service, I earned an Associate of Science degree in Criminal Justice from Palm
Beach State College.
In 2005, I began my law enforcement career with the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office. While serving full-time, I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration from Barry University and a Master’s degree in Public Administration, with a concentration in Crisis and Conflict
Management, from Nova Southeastern University.
Throughout more than 20 years with the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, I have served in a variety of assignments and leadership roles. I began my career as a road patrol deputy in District 13 – Belle Glade and later served in District 8 – Wellington, including an assignment with the
Community Policing Unit.
After being promoted to Sergeant in 2016, I served in District 9 – Royal Palm Beach, as a Unit Training Officer with Internal Affairs, and in the Traffic Division’s School Traffic Safety Unit. I was later promoted to Lieutenant and returned to the Glades community, where my law
enforcement career began.
I now have the privilege of serving as the Commander of District 12 – City of Pahokee. I am committed to providing professional, compassionate, and dedicated law enforcement services to our community.
I believe effective law enforcement is built on strong relationships, mutual respect, and open communication. I look forward to working alongside the residents, businesses, community leaders, and partner agencies of Pahokee to address the needs of our community.
